I read for 10-15 minutes.
My favorite poem by Langston Hughes is called "Dream Deferred".
In the Powerpoint Presentation, my most definite favorite picture taken by Gordon Parks is the Portrait of Muhammad Ali in Training Miami Florida, 1966. The reason why I really enjoy this picture is because of the textures used..The textures and the shading/colors of the textures is what helps bring together the effect of simplicity. The pose also plays a key factor in this photograph. The lighting is mostly a low-key light..there is enough light to bring shadows into his posed position...The camera is focused on his bandaged/taped up hands, and the top of his head..it's almost as if he looks shameful or just really exhausted from training. The boldness kind of weakens that idea of shame to me though..It follows the "fill the frame" rule factor.
